I was unable to answer the call from this number because my screen was playing up. It did not light up in any way so I couldn't see how to answer or anything. A few minutes later I needed to make a call so I spent some time getting the screen to light up in order to dial out. Surprisingly this number was still calling me. Man with Pakistani accent (no name given) said my computer is giving me trouble. It is, as it's refusing to boot up. He also said it is a laptop, correct again. Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?
Automated call warning of 2 bank card withdrawals - £300 on Amazon and £1100+ on an international service. Press 1 to allow and ... It's a scam. They don't identify who you are, who the bank is, the card number etc. It's to scare you into connecting with them and then confirming your bank details. If you have done this do an internet search for your bank fraud contact service and put a stop on your card/bank account IMMEDIATELY!

SCAM Presented themselves as an online competition for a DELL laptop through The Warehouse New Zealand. They asked for an entry fee to get our bank card number, took the entry fee then 3 days later took more money. Does anybody recognise this, suspect, phone number, 02392379223, from which I received an automated call earlier this morning? The ‘female’ speaking voice, claimed to be from ‘AMAZON’, and wanted me to give, account, details. Needless to say , I hung up and did a ‘Who called me’ phone number search, which showed it was from the Portsmouth area, I wasn’t aware that AMAZON was based in the UK, let alone Portsmouth. All I can say is…….. BE WARNED!
