I got an email asking me to ring this number regarding an overpayment on a car insurance policy from 2014. Thinking that it might be a scam I went online to find the customer services number for the company and rang them on that number not 0330 100 7303. It is a genuine email, they gave me my details correctly and then gave me my old bank account details. because I have changed my bank since 2014 they are sending me a cheque in the post instead. Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - sometimes energy companies. Did someone answer any number of this range? Is there any reason why companies use line with shared costs for just ringing you and left no message (other than scam...)? If this was a silent call for you, do not call back for any reason! SCAM Claims to be Metro Bank Fraud Alert, will call you to pry for details thereafter using the Metrobank contact number as their caller ID. Do not give them any information, just tell them you're going to confirm you're speaking with Metrobank by hanging up and calling the number yourself - they won't put up a fight apart from asking you to google the number they're using as caller ID to confirm it's the same (it's not the actual number they're calling from).
