I asked why it was so cheap and they said it was a limited, local promotion not available online or instore. I asked for more details and they said they would email them to me. They said they were calling from HMRC, however HMRC never calls mobile numbers. My mother has been contacted many times on this and other phone numbers. The message, from the caller is always the same, she tells my mother, first in English and then in Chinese that she has a package waiting for her, to collect from the Chinese embassy. This is clearly a scam call.

IT'S A DANGEROUS SCAM! A computer is dialling numbers in sequence to sniff out voice lines. If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later, and usually using a different number! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you've just successfully escaped being scammed! THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!

SCAM - 07846351184 - Supposed to be from my mobile provider - Very strong Indian Accent - Offering, free texts, calls and download for £12.00 monthly - Asked him that if he was from my provider, when did my contract run out and had to repeat that 3 times - he eventually answered saying July - I shouted WRONG at him and he disconnected.

This number is not secure, it is scammers pretending to be from O2, offering a 50% discount off your monthly bill. Tempting, obviously. They say a text will be sent to confirm this, followed by another text with a code to activate the offer. They will then ask you to repeat the code to them BUT doing this will allow them to take control over your account and possibly other info on your phone. Something didn't feel right so when they rang back for the code I didn't answer but googled O2 scams. Beware.

Broke ass scammer trying to "update my applewallet"

WARNING: 01542832293, supposedly from SKY telephones with a refund of £202 for being over charged in previous months. We don't have any SKY account. Accent was so thick I could barely understand anything he said, but he wanted my details. I said I was not giving any details over the phone to someone that I did not know and wanted someone to talk to me as clearly as I was talking to him. I waited, the line was open, and he hung up. DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL DETAILS OVER THE PHONE.

I had a call today from a South African sounding lady, from London number 020 8089 6127 said she was calling from a company called Teabag that got my suspicions up straight away, asked to speak to me by name, so she already had my name and phone number somehow. Said that she understood, I had lost money in an investment and would I like to get it back, I asked how she got my name and phone number and she immediately hung up. This is obviously a scam,
