Guy calls regularly, including public holidays! Sometimes hangs up when you say Hello; other times informs you he s conducting market research. I ve been advised by a friend who had similar calls that telling him his number has been flagged as a telepest, calls are being monitored and that unsolicited calls are subject to hefty fines gets rid of him pretty darn quick. Continued from before.... Steps I did: 1. Massively panicked 2. Forwarded the message to 7726, and followed their instructions and text STOP to the number (83463). 3. Logged it with the ICO. 4. Called the number (0330....5) in the morning and couldn't get through. 5. Called Three, told them about all the information I'd sought out and how good they'd been. Purportedly from Homeguard Direct, one of a number of south coast based companies claiming to block nuisance calls. In this call I was informed that I was due to pay ?124.99 as a final payment for their services. Whilst I agree that I have had dealings with the company in the past, I have no recollection/documentation of a fee for their services . I did not pass over any information regarding bank or credit card details. I was threatened with debt collectors.
