Foreign lady, difficult to understand, gave me the familiar speech about not selling anything and could you help me out by answering a few questions and is that OK? ... I said I don't answer questions on the 'phone and I hung up.

Fraud, claims to be HMRC, threatening arrest for tax fraud.

Received a phone call from this number saying they were from BT Technical department and asked me to turn my computer on as the iternet is running slow. I said can you confirm my name and account number before I go any further. They gave me a random number

I didn't answer but used 1471 each time. Checked this page and will now try to report.

This number is just another one in the same range of similar numbers - 19167199xx - same call centre, mostly reported as a silent call (just testing their database of numbers), sometimes as accident chasers ("Have you been involved in a road traffic accident...?"), or telemarketing offers. I assume this is the same case, blocked it when they called. Did someone speak with some person behind this number?

Alpha Networks? Do not accept incoming calls. possible sales call. Google and shows as Software company. Blocking as unsolicited call.
