Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 17953802xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, accident claims, insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

I had a call from this number today claiming to be from the legal team at my insurance company LV about an accident id had in Dec where my car was written off. The man knew of my name, address, post code, the date of my crash, and he said that a company called ensure had made a payment to them to forward on to me, but I've never heard of them and never claimed for myself, just the cost of my veichle which was straight forward and all sorted weeks ago. 100% scam outfit run by three men called Muhammad Mazhar, Syed Awais Gillani and Junaid Inayat from Pakistan. They are not based in UK and only use UK phone numbers and a virtual UK address to trick you into thinking they are. Their only interest is to extract money from you while providing nothing at all. Put the phone down and block them immediately. Not even worth being polite to as these crooks will see it as a weakness and think they can scam you.
