Was called by this company re a minor RTA I had a few months ago and was told there was a pot of money waiting for me if I proceeded with a personal injury claim. I get several calls a week from this company which I ignore. As it seems they have first names they must be getting this information from phone companies selling lists on. Only my friends, family and phone company know my number AND name.

Another scam call at 1300 hours. Cowards did not leave a message on answering machine. Beware.

Indian "gentleman", claims he is from Microsoft. Says my computer is downloading spurious files. I asked him how he knew it was my computer, he said by the machine ID. When I asked what this was he quoted "888DCA....." which is NOT a machine ID, it is a standard Microsoft code related to zip-files, which I told him. The call was terminated immediately...!

I did not recognize this number, so I decided to let it go to voicemail. Needless to say they did not leave a message. Looking at the previous comments, it was the correct thing to do by ignoring the call. My motto is ... if it is important/legit then they will leave a message.
