"Bank of Scotland" left concurrently 2 text messages and a voicemail, & phoned from 0333 045 9640. 1st text said "You will shortly receive a text from Bank of Scotland Card Services to confirm recent activity on your card ending xxxx" (the actual numbers on my card). 2nd text said fraudulent purchase of £349 from Apple had been blocked. I Asked them to tell me the date of the "accident" and the Registration number of vehicles involved... They then hung up immediately... Obviously Phishing for information.... ????.

Claiming to be from UK Tariff and that Sky customers have been overpaying their accounts and they want to check my payments are OK. They asked when I last made changes and as it is a new account I said I hadn't made changes. They asked how long I have had the account and I said I wasn't comfortable sharing that info. He asked why and I said he was calling from a random number and how do I know who he is. He said "Well I don't know. How DO you know who I am, I am calling from UK Tarrif." I hung up.

Message arrived over WhatsApp - I guess it's now the platform of choice for scammers, as bulk SMS costs money? Suspicious "hi, hope you are doing well" received, and nothing else. I'd suggest do not reply, not even to ask "who is this?", as it's likely a scam. If it was somebody I knew, I'd expect them to use my name and/or identify themselves if they can see we haven't communicated before.
