I was caught out by this today. They claimed to be calling from O2. Luckily, I realised after the call ended and was able to change my account details before any damage was done. The scammers knew all of my details - full name, address, email address, how much I'm billed each month - even my security question. They were very convincing. Fraud Saying my Nat ins number is suspended due to it being connected to an offence. Failure to press 1 and speak to an officer will lead to my national insurance number being suspended, not pressing 1. Outdoor also mean my assets are liable to be stolen. Three Further calls with same recorded message were made from theses numbers. 07584563 followed by 412, 707 and 412. These were over 2 days. I am hoping my service provider can help but not holding my breath.

Twice this number called me. The second time immediately after I cancelled the first call. I refuse to answer any unknown numbers and I have not given whom ever they are my number or given permission to anyone else to do so. Seriously thinking about changing my number but I doubt that will solve these unwanted calls.

Was an Asian guy for me, claiming to be from BT Tech Dept. When i suggested he gets a proper job and stop trying to scam ppl, he suggested I go forth and multiply (in a cruder use of words). Number now blocked.

SPAM Caller asked if I was over 50, used a cane or walking aid, said I was eligible for medical alert. Started giving me blurb about how many people of my age going into care home etc. Asked why he was contacting me. Said his boss gives him a list of people over 50 with medical conditions. He hung up when I asked what medical condition that would be. Might be wrong but sounded like a scammer looking to target for elderly people with health problems. Grateful it wasn't my elderly mother that he called.

Called a TPS registered line, asking for a named individual, and identifying themselves as "Jess from BT", and asking to talk about "Your broadband line". This is despite our Internet services not being provided by BT, and the named person that "Jess" was asking for having nothing to do with the provision of our broadband. If she really was from BT (which I very much doubt that she was) then it would be one good reason not to touch them with several barge-poles strapped together.

Trying to collect for a cancellation fee on an insurance company. Complete jokers. Just ignore/block them. They will never follow through with any threats - they just rely on intimidating people into payment. They will even offer you discounts - a clear sign they know they re not entitled to any money.
