I challenged him and he said if our bill was wrong it would be my fault and that the call was being recorded. I told him I had made a note of his number and would contact British Gas direct. This is a scam to enable someone to change your account to another company without your permission and brokers are not covered by the energy ombudsman so the customer has no come back.
