Claimed they were calling from my bank but never told me which bank. Their claim was my account had been scammed with two transactions for large amounts over £1000,00 and they needed to authorise the payments.

SPAM from 020 7404 7553. Claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, but sounded like a call centre in India. I managed to waste four minutes of their time by asking what Carphone Warehouse was and telling the woman on the other end that I was answering from a red BT phone box. Fun. Blocked the number after
Telemarketing. Local Energy supplier in your area, I understand you are the home owner... blah blah, Put phone down, called again a few days later. So annoying.
