I got a call from this number this afternoon. My policy is not to answer calls which are not on my contact list. No message was left on my answering machine. I barred it and this allows me to call it but when it phones me it will get the engaged tone and pay for it. I phoned the number and my provider says it does not recognise the number. Not spam or a scam. They're Custom Insurance & Mortgage Solutions. I have my life assurance cover through them. They ring me every year to see if I need anything else.

Male Asian voice claimed to be from Talk Talk phoning customers about the internet connection being currently unsafe!! I put the phone down after saying that I was not interested.

"Isaac" of "Pearl Advice Services" re "accident". Said he was in Birmingham. When I challenged him on saying he was in Birmingham but the number is in Maidenhead, he hung up. On calling back, I got a "number not recognised" message. Clearly false. Now blocked it.

This was their second call. I had put their number in my phone to be blocked but they appear to have gotten around this block and the generic blocking of withheld numbers. I will send written complaint to the Bradford address as well as complaining to other regulators.

Identified herself as Gemma, said my car had been in an accident. It hasn t. Hung up when asked repeatedly what car it was.
