I get several calls a week from this company which I ignore. As it seems they have first names they must be getting this information from phone companies selling lists on. Only my friends, family and phone company know my number AND name.

Caller asked if I was with British Gas or Scottish Power, when I declined to answer he swore at me and hung up!

Called Telegraph Sales team and got them to manually remove my number - we ll see if that works - but imagine if we all did that ? Brilliant. It s 0800 33 20 20

Call made from Liverpool but caller had a foreign accent, she tried to make me change my phone provider saying she could find a cheaper provider. elsewhere. She was very persistent even after telling her I had just signed up with another provider and was under contract. Said her name was Angela Mayer.

Hung up very quickly when rumbled.. I have not had an RTA / Accident this century! I have blocked the number on my CPR told him nothing and reported the number to GMP on 101. I d like to think that was Game, Set and Match to me!! But you never know so be careful out there!

I have witnessed family getting harassment calls, invoices and debt collection threats from these stupid people. The magazine they claim to place ads in, is also aware of their scam and of course has no arrangement with them whatsoever. Report them to Trading Standards and Action Fraud and if they send letters, ignore them but keep a record of them so that when they do get caught (a matter of time) you can contribute evidence if required. If they phone you, seriously don t waste your time. They are really t
