Some random agency contacted me from this number. They started the call with the usual "Good afternoon, I m xxxx is that surname". I sent them away with a flea in their ear as they didn t understand how impolite it is to call someone by their surname only (not even a Mr). If they can t get my name correct then how can I trust them to get me some business and/or pay invoices etc.

Mentions checking National Insurance number check. Obvious scam as some of the grammar is confused but quite alarming on first hearing. It sounded like a very busy call centre. The woman sounded English. She asked for Mr Kiren. I misunderstood the name a bit at the start and said twice that Karen or no Mr is here. She finally hung up. I have no idea who called me and I did not want to answer her who I am. I thought it might be scam or similar. I blocked the number.
Me too, just blocked the number! We'll see. Never answer landline these days, not happy about mobile too!
