I rang the number back and they answered as The Claims Helpdesk and I hung up. It is obviously one of them accident claim people that get a list of numbers to call even though I haven t had an accident.

This was a phishing attempt - using robotic voice. They claimed to have been from the inland revenue. I have reported them to the Inland Revenue.

Call pretending to be HMRC threatening legal action unless one speaks to an agent by pressing the number one. I did not do that as I suspect that would then be charged at an exorbitant rate.

Invalid number when trying to call back. Very annoying and rude. I do hope my phone has not been hacked by anyone in Cromer, near Norwich, England.

I m the MD that one person above is keen to tell everyone about. We identify our phone line (an 01422 number) and my mobile is also clear for all on our company website. I do this as we have nothing to hide. We operate strictly by the Market Research Society guidelines. I get several calls a week from this company which I ignore. As it seems they have first names they must be getting this information from phone companies selling lists on. Only my friends, family and phone company know my number AND name.

This is very similar to 0121 389 0863 and suggests in the same office. 0121 389 0863 is noted as being a nuisance call about accidents we have had or in my case not had. Now blocked.

Called me and hung up immediately the ansaphone cut in. Tried calling them back but got a message that the number dialled had not been recognised. I suspect that it s a Skype type call from a foreign country - they usually come up with a number that looks like a uk STD code but could be from anywhere in the world.
