An un-solicited call, by a company claiming to be IFA Direct. I asked for their company details and he said we are in Malaga, Spain. I.F.A Direct have a website, and are in Woking, Surrey. Very strange behaviour. Whoever they are, they are phishing for personal details about pensions and finances. They are employing hard sell techniques. They are evasive and won t give out their company details. And they are illegally calling numbers registered with the T.P.S. Stay well away from these people.

Scam for DPD. I’ve had messages from DPD before and they’d never write anything like ‘your parcel is being held at depot’, not to mention it isn’t even the UK site or even the site at all mentioned.
A washing machine warranty call. Caller with a London accent asked for me by name and said the warranty on my washing machine was due to expire and that she just needed to update the paperwork and said it would actually be cheaper, started by asking to confirm my postcode & address. Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. This sounds very dodgy from the start but I played along, chatting with a lady with a foreign accent. It's eventually got to the stage where she asked me for my bank account and sorting code, at which point I asked her a very personal question. She then swore at me and hung up. She had mentioned postcode lottery, and assured me that I had won a European holiday and £399 in cash at one point she said the company was called something like travel and leisure.

SCAM claiming to be from Virgin Media, sounded like an international call. I asked how she got my number - said it was to do with misuse of my IP address. Rude and ‘bossy’ could easily scare a vulnerable person.
