SCAM / SPAM - my elderly mother received a call on her mobile today from this number, supposedly from 'HMRC' requesting her to "press 1" and if she didn't she would be arrested. Thankfully we've had lots of conversations about such scammers and the fact that HMRC never call people - so she hung up!

Similarly, telling me money had been "set aside" to pay for injuries I sustained in an accident. I did have a car accident a year ago but made it plain to everyone at the time, including the third party s insurers, that I sustained no injury - and that in those circumstances it was hard to see how anyone would have "set aside" money to pay me, and in any event making a claim would be fraudulent.
