Charming sounding young lady (English for a change!) and wanted to speak to the person who pays BT's phone bill, alas I jettisoned BT after 40 years of loyalty - due to their egregious actions on "sorting out" my broadband - so I politely disabused her and said BT are no longer my concern and may their shares plummet.

Missed the call, anyway, before seeing these comments. "Looks like a premium rate number" Sorry, but you re mistaken. 01, 02, 03 are all classed as national rate calls (apart from Channel Islands, Isle of Man) and 03xxx are business numbers. 0845 and 0870 numbers very widely being changed to 0345 and 0370 numbers so they are included in most calls packages (including from mobiles). Only 1899.com and 18185 (cheap call services when dialling using those prefixes before a number) are not including 03x
Credit investigations, they want your debit card and banking details so they can set up a fake repayment account to clear your debts. You pay a scam company claiming to be UK Government, your debts don't clear, you just pay for Indian scammers dinner for their families back in Bangladesh.
