Fraud
My dad was called and told to call this number and was told it was the treasury department and that he was due a council tax rebate of ?7000 as he had not defaulted. Apparently they had a list of 3000 households to give the money too. The lady on the phone when he called it, was adamant that he had to give bank details and that they would not send a cheque. Luckily he did not give them but when I googled it there was a very similar scam alerted in Scotland.
