I had a telephone call on 14/12/2015 from a male purporting to be from my professional body (British Psychological Society) claiming I had overpaid my subscriptions twice. initially he seemed plausible. He knew my surname, address, postcode and claimed I had paid by a debit card, which had expired (it hadn t and he gave the wrong last 4 digits.I hadn t as I pay via direct debit. This number said (Asian accent) they were market research and wanted me to confirm my name and address. Asked me what make my washing machine was, whether I was a homeowner or rented accommodation, who my broadband provider was, would I be interested in Virgin Media, if I had private health insurance, who are my gas and electricity suppliers, what age group I am in etc. So I just told them a load of lies and not to contact me again. Every day no one speaks, i think they are checking to se weather is i live number so they can pass it on to cold caller's

Allegedly HMRC with threats if I did not return call
Called me a couple of times today. When I answer, there is no one on the other end. At the moment, who ever it is, is being a nuisance.
