Claiming to be Hammersmith police station over bank card fraud, check lots of bank acc details, then say when the call is finished a dialling tone sounds and to dial one's bank customer advice. This takes you through to another fraudster claiming to be your bank who takes more details then says they are transferring you to the serious fraud office. Some guy claimed he was checking about a claim I made last year. Had my name and number, so clearly had acquired my details from somewhere. These boys usually know your car reg, model etc. I said I wasn't aware of any claim, then he asked if anyone else I knew had had a claim recently. Obviously an ambulance chaser. I've blocked the number but I expect they keep changing every so often. Who sold them the numbers to ring??? Usually the calls I get are from Liverpool so this makes a change I suppose.
