SCAM Said they were 'Carphone Warehouse' and wanted to offer me a new phone as the same price as the one I had now. Didn't know the make of phone I had or how much I pay for my contract. When I said I didn't want a new phone they hung up.
Said he was from O2 offering discounts or additional services for being a loyal customer, seemed polite enough, not incredibly pushy, had my name as well as seemingly some idea of my data usage. Hard to tell if it was a scam or not but was not persistent in trying to convince me into anything he was offering, gave me 3 offers, a discounted rate on a tablet, declined with reasoning he was fine with that, discounted rate on a Samsung smart watch, once again declined with reasoning and he was fine, then a rate
SPAM
Received text providing uber code. Ignored.
SCAM - I received an evident scam or fraud SMS text from this number on 30 June 2023, with a quite convincing message beginning “Morning mum”, and asking me to message back on another UK mobile number. Interestingly, RF President Putin was reported to be visting Dagestan [where this phone number originates?] yesterday.

Tried to con my wife saying your computer has been infected with a virus. Scam.

Seemed to be a call centre - the line was very fuzzy so was difficult to understand what they were saying. They said it was carphone warehouse and started launching into a spiel about a deal. I asked them to remove my data from the system and they asked me what phone I have! Seems phishing.
keep receiving calls from this number, have now blocked it. How do all these annoyance callers keep getting mobile numbers. Driving me crazy. Have blocked from my phone.
