SPAM wanting to talk about my BT landline, didn't even announce who they were just waffled on about BT overcharging. Put phone down and blocked number.

Safe number. This is an automated feedback call from British Gas. I had just cancelled my Boiler cover with BG due to the outrageous renewal charge and I recieved this call a little later. Basically five questions about rating British Gas. They never got a very good one from me, practically doubled the renweal quote and when i called to see if I could negotiate a cheaper deal it went even higher!
got automated voice telling me of £300 amazon charge and £1100 overseas transaction - from 'bank security? Pressed 2 to 'speak' to the bank (to give them a taste of their own medicine)., and just a random guy picks up the phone - think i got him out of his bed??? Strange! Google thinks this is a hairdressers?
"Sam" called asking if I was the homeowner. Then started on about window replacements, at which point I rang off, but I note that the same number had been used to try adn sell new driveways.

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based, Indian company masking the no to a local city!!
They answer as Claims Management Service. It's a scam
Silent call. Called me at 9:10 on a Saturday morning. I answered the call but it was silent and they hung up. It's likely automated 'robot' calls to test whether a phone number is in use/active.
