Scammed, fishing for bank details to refund insurance on a loan

Fraud, internet. Pretended to be from Virgin media. Wanted me to download an app to take over control of my internet to sort my "problem". Didn't know my name or any other info.
On answering there was a recorded message (female voice) stating "We need to urgently check your life insurance - please press 5". On hearing this I hung up.
Have no appointment so why would they be calling me. Had a different number last night. I will not give any personal info over the phone.
Female of Asian extraction asking for details so they could send payment which we had overpaid them. When challenged they put the phone down.
