SCAM / SPAM London land-line. Virtual voice claiming to be HMRC UK Tax Authority and Inland Revenue. Voice asks to be called back or "you will face the legal consequences". This is threatening behaviour and some people will be intimidated by that.

Text-to-voice automated call stating that they were BT Internet, there was very suspicious traffic via our IP address and that our access was about to be terminated. Directions to press "1" to "get it fixed before it's too late". I hung up the call and checked the number here and on other, similar sites.

They call pretending they know you ve been in an accident to trick people who have actually been in accidents to divulge the details. When you tell them you haven t been in an accident they hang up immediately. Don t be fooled by these people.
Fraud
Just had a call from them.....silence. Called back on the landline and got someone asking for my number in pathetic english, gave my number and they had my name immediately. Telling me that some credit application had been turned down, but don t worry they could help. They can help, by not phoning me, by speaking english, by not b***s***ting me about some credit application, by taking my business mobile number off their cold calling lists, by taking their stupid pathetic script and shoving it up the a*** o
