The number 01736 735261 called me about 10.30am 28/06/23 and it was a recorded message from an International Banking service stating I had made a payment of £300 to Amazon and £1100 to another provider. Told me to press 1 if correct and 2 to speak with an adviser. Pressed 2 and answered by "This is Officer Stephen, how can I help". When I asked which organisation he represented the phone went dead.
I think an Indian chap, he asked me if i was _____ _____? which happened to be my maiden name of some 6 years ago no. I immediately was concerned, i said no! I did not want to give him my new name. I asked who he was, no answer, he asked did i own the mobile he had called, again i asked who he was then he hung up. Im concerned how do people get so many of your details ??
