Caller claimed I had a problem with malware on my PC and he would guide me through the repair of it. He asked me to turn on my computer and when I told him no, he got aggressive, told me my PC would screw up and then hung up.

Seemed like a frightening "ransom" scam. Saying your being investigated for "Tax Fraud" and your going to be arrested if you don't hit "1" to reply back. I expect any reply incurs a massive phone fee charged to your bill connected to a premium number. No official entity would call you on an automated message in such a cold manner disregarding your mental and physical health conditions. Such as being suicidal or having a hart condition.

Claim to be from BT regarding my Internet connexion. When I said I am not with BT the Indian voice became very agitated and starting shouting at me as though I am an idiot. Person with an Asian accent (after a delay) introducing himself as Peter Thompson purporting to be from BT claimed someone in America was using my IP address and accessing emails . Asked what devices I was using to access the internet. The scammer wasn t afraid to argue back aggressively when I told him in no uncertain terms I knew this was an attempt to hack in to the internet.
