Call from agent for EE, which I managed to get them to verify as the number on my phone came up as possible fraud. My broadband/TV Box price has now been frozen by them for 18 next months, (EE previously sent me warning it would be going up at end of contract date) and a free upgrade to super-fast broadband, from fast. Claiming to be from my Internet service provider but could not give me any information to demonstrate that this was genuinely the case - didn't know my name and when challenged could not prove who they were calling from. Told me there had been issues with Internet connection in my area in the last few weeks and when I said mine has been fine they then changed tack and said they were calling to protect me from hackers. I cut them off and suggested my ISP contacts me over email if there's a genuine problem.

SCAM - Automated voice said they were from a government agency and that my National Insurance number had been mixed up in some illegal incidents. It then said something about having to get back to them quickly. At this point I hung up obviously a scam.

Thank god for google I just had a weird feeling that he wanted my address so bad so thought I d type in google and here it is !!
