Identified themselves as First Response and told me they had my details and I'd apparently had an accident in my car in the last two and a half years. Incorrect - so probably chancing their arm. They're making the same calls from another 0141 number too.
This number called me again today, they did Not even leave a message. When I called the number back, an automated voice said "you were called today by talktalk, sorry we missed you, no matter we will en-devour to call you back later, bye!"
No idea. They hung up half way though conversation.
This number keeps calling a private line on the telephone preference service. Now in my directory as SCAM.

I’ve just received all call from this number, claiming to have been given permission by my life insurers to contact me. I asked him who I was with and he read out about different company’s and was extremely rude. Definitely a scam I’ve blocked the number.

The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. This started as an automated voice message telling me my annual Amazon Prime account (which I don't have) will renew shortly and that if I wanted to speak to an advisor I can press 1. With the account details being incorrect and the number being a UK mobile, this is obviously a scam to get you to confirm personal details.

Got a call from this number today but didnt answer it. Googled it but no records. Called it back on a spare phone and got "Number Not Recognised" message. So it looks like a scam of some kind, designed to make it look like a number from Derby. I'd say "Dangerous" until proved otherwise.
