Sounded li 7829438172 Just had a call from this number, like the rest claiming to be 'Shane Williams' from Virgin Media, with a very pronounced Asian accent (yeah right), and wanting to fix the problem I reported yesterday with my internet. He of course wanted me to start entering things on my computer. Gave himself away because there is no broadband at the address with the fault. The worrying thing is that I did report a phone problem yesterday and the engineer was actually fixing the problem at the house when this guy rang, so 7829438172 Another "Virgin Media" scamming call! I had answered a similar call in the week which I promptly blocked after he started the conversation by saying "Google tells me your name is Karen?" ..... uh ...... no. Someone stop these scammers. Both callers claimed they were from the Virgin backend team. First call followed a query I had made to Virgin technical dept earlier in the day, 24/1/18. This is a security issue for Virgin and they need to do something about it.
