Called on my work mobile, asking for someone else. When I told them it was a wrong number went into the usual script, "My name is xxxx from yyyy, the reason I ve called you is that you re owed money from mis-sold investments." Complete tosh. Who believes this pack of lies?

This caller is constantly phoning asking for a person never registered to my phone I have told him I am not the person he is looking for but yet he keep,s ringing over and again I am making step,s to block this caller
It’s a scam
this person called and talked at me, and I let them do their spiel. about a card that I had PPI on, I said which card, they said barclays, wild guess on their part I suppose, the worrying thing though is they had my name and also said they were sending a letter me and they quoted my postcode. I want to know who gave them this number. I think these numbers are sold on from compnay to company from one single originator, possibly years ago. From the name they have, which is my maiden name, I think it was T-mob
Phoned them back and they said it was Blackpearl Claims, so I hung up. I've heard its a PPI claims company.
Scam
Silent call
SCAM Automated call from 'Bank Security' saying payments had been taken from my card, one of £300 to Amazon and one an International Transfer of £1,100 (figures approximate). Call sent because, "I had never used these services before." An invitation followed to Press 1 or 2 to cancel or speak to an advisor. Looks like a genuine number from my geographical area. I did not press any digits, hung up and did not attempt a call-back. Perhaps a spoofed number - potentially dangerous.
Pension Safe - it says when you call back but mine are all in order and I have direct contact with them so will be blocking
