Being used for a HMRC scam.

Phoned me this morning trying to sell me a boiler upgrade. She didn t hang up when I said I didn t have a boiler (I don t, electricity or open fire for me) but the line stayed open for ages - I got bored and put the phone away. I didn t need to keep her talking to tie up her phone line, she did that herself!

The caller was saying they are from the HMRC about an outstanding case.
SCAM / SPAM Saying they are from HM Revenue and Customs and that they have a time sensitive issue to discuss with me and if i do not contact them or have my solicitor contact them threatening consequences to the full extent of the law. All in an automated voice. Blocked straight away.
Called saying they were from the Studio and asked for someone who I’ve not heard of. Told them they had the wrong number. Then wanted my address or just the postcode to ensure that I wasn’t receiving mail for this lady. Told them no and that I wanted my number removed. Was told they’d only remove it if I’d confirm my address. Told them no & asked to speak to a supervisor. Put on hold & chap came back saying my phone number had been removed - we shall see.
