Fake caller pretending to be a hmrc and claiming there was tax fraud investigation and if I didn't answer I would arrested promptly, I pressed 1 and a person answered saying how can I help you today, this therefore told me straight away it was a scam as why does a hmrc officer need to ask me how they can help me if they called me. Don't continue with the unless you want to mess them around.

Call from a welsh lady claiming I had been referred , despite not knowing my name and giving a former address. I said I’m not interested in saving on gas as we don’t have it, she then asked for me to confirm my details so she could check, I refused and asked if she was calling me a liar . Text Message saying it was from Hermes and that they had been unable to deliver a parcel. Wasn't expecting a parcel, so went on to Hermes Tracking on a different machine to check the tracking number - needless to say, this number doesn't exist! Obviously a scam.
