My mum in law who is 98 had her bt bill charged £20.30 . Never got to the bottom of it as when called it wasn't recognised. Bt did waive the charge.

Just received a phone call from 01243777952. It was from Amazon Prime saying our subscription had ended. Has the phone number been hijacked?
0161 768 0839 Called then said no operators available, will call back. No identification.
2 missed calls today from this number. No message left. Blocked the number. 3 missed calls last week from similar numbers, all based in Reading, no messages left. Blocked all.

It's a marketing company, End of story!

Cane up as Taiwan carpets. But it wasnt. Chap said he was from my network provider O2. When I told him I wasn't with O2 he hung up

This was from a rude and abusive man with very poor English who claimed he was from carphone warehouse and when I said I wasn't interested he said he was also a police officer and was going to find out where I lived and beat me up, he was screaming abuse at me. This was entirely unprovoked as I am a very polite pensioner who never shouts and swears, I would recommend everyone to do as I have done and block this number.

I was called by 'bank security' from this number.

This number called claiming we had poor internet connection, very persistent insisting I go into my emails whilst he was on the phone. Our connection only checked the day before was fine. Be aware of this.
