I answered the call to get a recorded message of "Goodbye". With such a seemingly pointless nuisance call, I can only assume this is some kind of call to random numbers to establish if a number is a live line that gets answered. I've added this number to barred calls through my landline phone's handset. I've recently also successfully managed to reduce nuisance calls that come from unknown numbers with Anonymous Call Rejection (anonymous) callers. I thought I'd mention this for anyone who doesn't know this
Automated call purporting to be from BT - heavy American accent telling me my broadband was being terminated today and said to press key 1 etc. Just hung up as obviously a scam ...

This number was not a number i recognised. I didnn`t answer my phone as it was past midnight.
