Why can t OFCOM do something about these types of call - suggesting I have been involved in an RTA s - surely OFCOM could remove the so called company s telephone number! Supposedly from Sigma Advice Company - Joshua Simons - they ring me monthly from a different number so WTF is OFCOM for?

Fraud Sounded Indian. Pretends to be BT calling re a problem with your internet connection. They have found there are 'intruders' on your connection. Talks you through using eventvwr and netstat -n to prove the point, then talks you through installing remote access software (AnyDesk) to gain access to your computer. Uses tiny.cc link for AnyDesk URL. Very patient when you make mistakes! Slick operation which appears to use a script, at least at the start.

Fraud. Claims to be from EE saying there's a problem with taking payment and threatening to cancel services unless I update my billing details. I'm not even an EE customer! :-)
SCAM - text claiming to be Royal Mail and that ‘your package has a £2.99 shipping fee’ encouraging you to click a link to pay otherwise ‘actions will be taken if you do not pay this fee’. Do not click this think and enter any personal details.
