The said they were the hearing centre.I said no thankyou.They have phoned 5 times in the last week. I don't answer the phone as I have caller ID. They are a nuisance.
Scam call - Recorded announcement saying that a tax fraud case had been opened in my name and if I didn't press 1 for more information a warrant would be issued for my arrest.

Fraud Called with a recording saying your National Insurance Number is at risk and you need to pay or police will be called on you. Press 1 to speak to an advisor and lo behold an Indian with an presumed English name asking me for my personal details. Obviously put the phone done!
Phoned because we were getting warning notifications that we couldn t see because the hacker was blocking them from this end. When I told him we didn t have a cordless phone he asked me to move the desktop closer to the phone :)
Fraud - Caller claimed to be calling about the insurance I have for my washing machine. He called me by name, and quoted my address. I stated that I don't have any insurance with anybody for my washing machine and he rang off without saying anything more. Clearly a fraudulent phishing call.
