Scammers
SCAM / SPAM They claimed to be from HMRC regarding tax fraud and demanded I press 1 so I could be connected to a representative to avoid getting a warrant for my arrest. This is a known scam, especially in the USA but it appears it has started here as well. Do NOT believe them, HMRC would not call you and threaten you like that, especially with an automated system which implies they call loads of people in the same way

I rarely answer calls from unknown numbers and never from numbers. As has been noted elsewhere, if it is legitimate, they will leave a message. They never do. This number has become persistent over the past few days and is now blocked. I recommend others
