Silent call at 08:51 - likely to be a scammer. I don't know anybody in Stoke-on-Trent.
I had a call to say my gas meter engineer was in an accident and had to rearrange for next week. Strangely I had a call from the engineer 15 minutes later to say he was on his way and knew nothing of an accident. I can't help but feel suspicious .

Caller maintained he had received calls from our number. We have never rung him or know who he is or where he'd rung from.
Utilities They said they were from BT. Starting asking about my internet. Asked if I had given my password to anybody other than family as during the times of midnight to 2am there has been unusual activity. All sounds a bit dodgy. I hung up at that point.
Texted me with the message 'We're sorry, but you don't have enough credit. Your recent purchase could no be completed.' Followed by a link to click, presumably to "top-up" my credit. Funny thin is - I've not purchased anything. Clearly a scam.

This and another similar number called my land line and I called the one above back, as I was waiting for a call, but there was no reply Within five minutes a foreign man called back and stated I had phoned him a few minutes before. When told I was responding to a call from him, he insisted I had called him an hour ago (impossible as no one was home), and his attitude changed to verging on verbally aggressive. I hung up. Pretending to be from Sky, telling me that there’s illegal activity going on, on my broadband, I told her that was my drug pusher, just to get rid of her, she didn’t know how to follow that, and hung up.

Scammer claiming to be from O2, offering to reduce my bill by 30%. Didn't confirm my name, if it matches the account holder name, or any account details besides the phone number (which they'd just called, so duh...). Just started asking for the verification code they send you by text when accessing your account. The one where the message specifically states not to give the code to anyone, even people claiming to be O2 staff... Probably not calling from Edinburgh either, probably a spoofed number.

Sales call, said were from O2. When asked how she had obtained my number, she was evasive. Asian accent, so thought it was from overseas. I am subscribed to the telephone preference service, so should not be getting marketing or sales calls. I cut them off and blocked.
