Recorded message reporting unusual activity on my credit card. One transaction from Amazon and a foreign transaction for 999 pounds. Press 1 to authorise payment or 2 to speak to an advisor Strongly suspect this is a scam. As it was a local number I tried to call it back later and got unobtainable signal. Beware.

Received an automated cal from this number, saying that my Visa account had had two £300 withdrawn by Amazon, and a further £1000 by an overseas account, then asked if I wish to verify it. Just hung up

Scammer with automated message stating it was my bank.. Claimed a transfer of £600 had been blocked to western union and asking me to dial 1 to connect to an operator. I hung up as I don't even have £600 and checked with my online banking for any alerts. Nothing there.

Automated voice call claiming to be from Amazon informing me that my expired prime membership had been renewed at £95 I hung up without selecting options. Wasn’t aware I had prime membership

07477140852. Had 4 calls today from 074771..... This was the first time there was an automated call at the other end purporting to be from HMRC asking me to press 1 because I hadn’t replied to them so they would start legal proceedings. Obviously a scam but worrying as I contacted the HMRC yesterday regarding tax relief and HMRC are one of the few organisations that use my number on a phone that is only used for verification purposes and not my main phone number used for day to day stuff. These people want you to think they are from Visa and say that a large amount of money has been removed from your bank account (they don’t mention either your name or the name of your bank or any bank) unless you contact them immediately. It is a recorded message but it is a scam. And they are persistent. This is the third day in a row around about the same time each morning. It is clumsy but people may be taken in.

Male said his name was John from Driveway Services? Asked if I still have a driveway at my property???? Asked him what the hell was he talking about and what did it have to do with him..... he hung up!!!

Claims to be HMRC, threatening legal action, textbook scam call center based in India, gets angry and curses at you when you don't treat them like they expect to be treated :)

A definite scam, pretending to be from O2 but couldn't even get the brand name right - kept saying O2 mobility.

Called from this number 08.31 today - caller claimed to be from my bank and that there had been suspicious payments on my bank card. This was followed by the usual requests that I press numbers to confirm or reject these payments, I did neither just hung up and checked my bank information.

Fraud This appeared to be a UK mobile number, not Russian as this site suggests. I was asked to renew my non-existent Sky TV insurance.
