Fraud SCAM Fraud Claimed to be from Vodaphone, said that an attempt to change my account number had been flagged up, called my number to verify with an old address (first flag) Second flag was when I asked if I could have a verification email I received a what amounted to a "yes but hurry up and give me the number" And of course, when I received a recovery/account change text, the first words of said text were DO NOT TELL ANYONE THIS NUMBER, POLICE OR VODAPHONE EMPLOYEES INCLUDED. Fraud: This UK Vodafone mobile number is being used by fraudsters who are targeting people to pay a deposit for an apartment which does not exist. The paid money then goes into a fraudulently opened bank account. It can be evidenced that they also steal peoples identities to open bank accounts and to advertise apartments to rent as described above.
