Fraud This number was given to a very vulnerable elderly friend of mine for her to confirm a transaction on her debit card. Fortunately her bank did not sanction the transaction. The number is for a hotel in Vietnam!
First received a text while driving saying ‘Can I call you later?’ 50 mins later a phone call came. I didn’t pick up. Instead I then texted back: ‘Sorry don’t recognise yr number. Who is it?’ No further response to date. No idea if genuine new contact or an attempt at some scam

Recieved phone call from 01483577441 at 1045am on Saturday 28th January 2023, Preporting to be from Amazon, stating they were witholding a payment of £700.00 As they suspect it. Asking me to press 1, which of course I didn't. This was a recorded message. I have never bourght anything of that value. This is a scam. beware.

I was called by this number and after a couple of rings, the call stopped. I telephoned back and it was answered by a male person with a Liverpool accent. I asked their name and what they do for work and they said that their name was Jerry and they were a warehouse worker. I advised that they had called me but they strongly said they did not. I believe this was a SPOOFING SCAM. I would advise anyone who receives anything like this to be on your guard and not give ANY personal information away .... not

This is a scam. Told I owed money ($4000) form a credit card I had from 2010 to 2016. Would not give me proof of the debt. I never had a credit card during that time period. Said they are going to try to take $8400 from my bank account by serving papers to the county clerk that is in my county. I spoke to a couple of attorneys which said it sounds like a scam. Call from 02034589975 the call is originating in an Indian call centre and the caller asks for name, DOB and address before telling me they've located my Vodafone account (which doesn't exist and my details were entirely fictional). The call is a scam designed to illicit bank details for a new phone contract. I would urge everyone to block this number and not give them any info at all.
