TAXES/HMRC - an automated voice said they're HMRC. But are they?! - I'm suspicious due to there being so many phone scams! - (I never press "1" on my keypad to strange numbers now). I'll call them & find out & let you know, (if I can).

Called @ 14.25 on 06/02/2023. Asian/Indian voice claiming to be from 'Traffic Management Services'. Call is purporting to be able to help with an accident within the last 2 years. I haven't had an accident in over 15 years. Told caller to cancel the call for the above reason.

Survey Yet another call purporting to be a survey. Not wanted. The caller never identified where he was speaking from or on behalf of which firm or what he was trying to sell.
Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?
SCAM Message popped up on my laptop stating that it was in danger of being hacked and had been temporarily blocked. The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. Missed call Rang me x 2 on WhatsApp but didn’t leave a message. Strange that although my phone was right by my side it never actually rang, so must assume it’s a scam of some sort as the number should be 01 something if it’s a land line in the UK or 07 something if mobile in the UK.
I do not know this number and they did not leave a message, guess it is a scam number.

Finance And Investment Solutions Ltd is a legitimate company and they are only mortgage broker not selling or offering personal loans. beware this landline number is a scam. personal loan only offered by banks directly.

99% SURE ITS A SCAMMER My phone ID'S them as "West One Hair and Beauty" of Norwich. Caller claimed to be from O2, about my bill and saving me money on my Vodafone. TELSTAR, and Virgin mobile accounts. When asked when Caller ID says they are a hairdressers, they immediately hung up.

This number is being used to carry out impersonation scams through WhatsApp. Serious pressure being exerted claiming to be a family member in financial trouble. Fraud carried out via a Metro Bank Account sort code 23 05 80 using various account numbers and Metro Bank don't seem to be concerned. Has been reported to own bank and Action Fraud. This number is causing untold distress and needs to be taken out of service.
Yeah, these idiots keep calling me too. My advice is to play along and waste their time. I spent hours providing them false contact and banking details. They got really angry when they kept asking me to confirm the account number. It feels so good wasting their time when then had full intentions of wasting myne / whilst trying to rob me blind . Some of these comments are hilarious espeically the one about the dihaorrea To those of you that think the DVLA
