Line took a while to connect. Caller with an Indian-sounding accent. Had call from same number earlier today, but that didn t connect. I checked the number, and it came up as nuisance call, so I hung up immediately just now. Will now block number.

Answered got a person speak but based on the fact they sounded chinese and the usual fake service provider or survey have none british people calling i put it down as a scam etc

American voice saying that our broadband would be disconnected in next 24 hours. Realized it was a scam and we ended the call.

Yes this number is AO.com and yes they do know what you ordered. However this is the Sales end of their organisation so BEWARE (Its probably even a separate company just trading under the same name) . They are calling on the pre-text of your order with AO.com but are very aggressively trying to sell you appliance breakdown cover! I was called just now by a woman with an Indian accent saying she was from Openreach and that she believed I should be getting download speeds of over 40mbs. She asked me to do a speed test which I did and got 19mbs. I asked how I would know she was genuinely from Openreach. She handed me over to her supervisor. He tried to convince me he was genuine and asked my press Ctrl Windows buttons on my keyboard so he could improve my internet connection speed. I again challenged whether he was from BT Openreach. H
