Called us asking to speak to our Google Ads account manager. Stated they were calling from Google ads team and that she was the Account Manager. They asked to speak to 2 people by first name, none of which work at our company. Unsure on this one.

The Indian caller I could not understand the mentioned very quickly a company name that was illegible and they made up a reason for me to call them back so they could discuss, I’m guessing this is when they try and either scam you or sell you something you don’t need

01315105459 called me this evening from Edinburgh. She had an English accent and knew my name and marital status and number. She claimed to deal with policy's and worked for royal London. When asked where she got my private data info she said "from the same place I get everyone's, from Facebook where you clicked on a like and accepted marketing from us". I know I didn't! SCAM!!!!

This is an Amazon Prime Scam. Automated message regarding your subscription and asking you to select from following options to speak to an Agent, at that point I hung up
Legit. Checks out with what is listed on the HSBC UK website. Though the call quality was very bad. Also, you know it's a genuine bureaucratic banking process when they ask for 10 different details to confirm your identity. I swear the support lady could just identify theft the hell out of me at this point.
Fraud. Text received from them saying they are the "PRA Group. You have a discount". I didn't open the text, but googled PRA Group instead. Apparently they are an American debt collecting agency. Blocked!

SCAM Message popped up on my laptop stating that it was in danger of being hacked and had been temporarily blocked. The error message suggested I called a helpline (number stated 020) said to be Microsoft Security. I rang, lady answered (Indian/pakistan accent) lots of noise in the background, she wanted me to depress the windows and the letter R key on my laptop. was evasive when I asked what would happen. Man with strong Indian accent calling himself "Daniel", claiming to be calling from "Microsoft Encarta" and saying that hackers had infected my PC, so he'd need access to it. A complete criminal scam. I told him I needed to go and get my computer, then left him waiting for ages until he eventually hung up. Number now blocked & reported to ICO.

Grammatical mistakes in this (no space between "Aug." and "This"; no comma after "To disable this") and referring to "me" suggest spam call.

A person who called themself rose alex on instagram messaged me wanted my number and said they was from miami florida but currently in west africa nigeria , the person claimed to be 29 and single and female but with only a few pictures on her page and wanted to chat directly on whatsapp this person could be either a guy or a girl , the number comes up from southampton so i will be blocking as must be bogus

"Hi. I'm Chris, your local Energy Advisor for your post code area..." I cut him off and asked what the post code was - he couldn't/wouldn't tell me so I told him he was a liar and scammer and hung up. Because of the silence between me answering and his speaking and the clicks as his call was connected, the call was made from an autodialer, and was not made from a mobile phone as the number would indicate.
