It was a recorded message saying "this is your bank. three withdrawals have been made on your card this morning...." and went on to list various sums. No name of bank, no name of card or card holder. The number used is not listed by my bank. Very suspicious.

The manager I spoke to was rude, and as I said I would contact ofcom re the unsolicited call, he said that’s ofgem you F****ng idiot. Got a call from this number again asking for Mr Armstrong but did not say who they were, I told him the Armstrong’s have not had this number for about 4yrs to which he apologised and put phone down. We have been getting calls from this number for about 3yrs, I always the same thing as we do not know anyone with that name and they always call again!!
SCAM - Apparently they were from Sky trying to test my broadband speed. Notwithstanding I am not with Sky, I asked them to tell me my own name and postcode and they hung up. How rude! I assume the next step would be to access my computer to 'fix' the issue.

SCAM call from someone suggesting he was from BT and seeking access to our broadband to correct a fault as they had been receiving lots of alerts and that our IP address was being used in the public domain. On calling back, i got an automated message saying that this number had not been recognised.
The Indian caller I could not understand the mentioned very quickly a company name that was illegible and they made up a reason for me to call them back so they could discuss, I’m guessing this is when they try and either scam you or sell you something you don’t need
