A guy with an Indian accent and poot English spoke but I simply hung up as I have never, ever had any dealings with the RBOS in my entire life so there is no reason for them to call. RBOS would never be using "illegal" databases so the chances are that the scammers have either obtained my number from an illegal database that could have been obtained when one of

This number called me at 7:36 am on a Monday morning! I'm a retired person so I don't get up before the sun and at 7:36 am the sun is still in bed in Greater Manchester. I did jump out of bed but didn't pick up as I didn't recognise the number. Apparently the call originated in Thanet which Google tells me is in Kent. As I know of no reason why someone from Thanet (which I'd never even heard of) should phone me at an ungodly time of day I can only assume this was a scam call.
