Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.
Fraud: Caller claimed to be from Amazon Security, but my phone isn't associated with any Amazon accounts so they're either phishing for passwords or for account information.

Called today. Recorded re two huge Visa card transactions. Realised it was a scam so pressed 1 to mess with them. Amateur scammer in the middle of a meal? Argued with her for a while until she hung up after becoming very irate.
Foreign accent. Said he was from Open Reach & our internet speeds were dropping. I declined the call.
It was someone claiming to be my daughter saying she had lost her phone and to ring her back on the above number. Daughter was with me at the time she definitely hadn't lost her phone. So in my opinion it was a scam.

scam call. apparently from my mobile provider and I have been selected to have my bill reduced, I asked who my provider was, they couldn't answer, and then asked how much it would be reduced too and they then asked for my last bill, I said if they are my provider they know how much my bill is and then the phone went down, they will try anything
Scammer. Caller claimed they were from Microsoft and that they needed to fix computer as it was sending critical error messages. Not even logged into any machine, so a load of nonsense. Told them they were talking nonsense and only trying to spam/scam people. Needless to say they quickly hung up. Caller possibly overseas and routing to a UK number.

SCAM - An automated Voice claiming to be from Amazon & my Amazon Prime Account was going to be auto-renewed. After hearing this I immediately ended the call. I am now getting getting REALLY ANNOYED with the amount of SCAM calls I've been receiving lately (all from different numbers) & feel I need to try and let other people know about it. I got a text from this number pretending to have a verification number for Microsoft. I refreshed the website and got Microsoft to send me another a verification number. When Microsoft text you, it will say MICROSOFT. If a mobile number comes up, DO NOT USE THAT CODE.
