SCAM 01482680047 pretending to be from the police to gather feedback and follow up an incident that had happened, this case was closed weeks ago so I knew this was a scam straight away. Looks as though the scammers have accessed the police database. They started the call with saying the call was recorded and I needed to consent to GDPR.
I have just received a call from this number from someone saying they were from vodaphone and that I was to be offered a new handset. I did not listen to the rest of the story as i suspect it was a scam. I cut the call and checked the number immediately. It appears not to be listed as a scam number but beware.
Missed call I just got to the phone in time for it to stop ringing. Not a recognised number, not in my contacts list, not from anywhere that I know anyone. I therefore conclude someone was trying to scam me.
SCAM I received 4 calls from this number today, between 16.47 pm / 16.49 pm / 16.51 pm / 17.02 pm. It was an unrecognised number, so it went straight to my voicemail. No voicemails, were made. Automated call saying from bank. Suspicious activity on bank card/credit card. Checked online and does say fraud team do automated calls but then will phone or text you… I just don’t press any buttons on phone as you never no.. phoned fraud line to check.. guess what it wasn’t them.

Fraud - automated call saying it was my bank (didn't say which bank!!!) detailed two transactions it said was made this morning one to Amazon and one a transfer abroad. Asked me to press 1 to cancel transactions or 2 to authorize. I'm guessing that this would then take me to a premium line number or someone asking for my details. I just hung up of course. The scary thing is that it showed as coming from a local dialing code or I wouldn't have answered it.
Claimed to be from Amazon security and wax saying someone was try to spend £700 on my account and asked for my banking info. Immediately very suspicious as sure Amazon would not do this.
