They phone you just after *they* request access to your account via your phone company's website by using the "Forgotten Password" link, so that the real phone company will send an OTC (one-time-code) to your mobile for verification. These criminals then call you saying they're from your phone company and ask for the OTC that you've just received. Probably a scam. Recorded message talked of transaction on my account (what account?) being halted as it was an unusual transaction, and to press 1 to call back.

I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Yet another number to add to the ever increasing list of scam calls. When will the phone companies do something to stop them???

Keep getting calls from numbers which start with 01273901924 upto 1937, these are scam calls and they change the last two numbers all the time but its the same scammers and i just let the phone ring as i have a long list of scam calls and i can only block 50 on my phone.

Pre-recorded female voice (American accent) purporting to be HMRC but number coming up on iPhone as Newquay area. Couldn't clearly hear what was said but usual message engineered to put people under pressure while offering a "Press number 1" type option to be put through to scammers most likely. Just waited and it cut-off.

This number 01223933798 is a scam call that says your bank account and amazon account has had two attacks this morning? press two to talk to an advisor. An Asian gentleman answered I told him to go fourth and multiple.

Telemarketing

Fraud called telling me that somebody in the USA has just spent £600 on my debit card and to stop payment they needed my sort number for my account when I said I will contact my bank myself they hung up.
